OUR BUSINESS.

In order to provide safe, high-quality meat, the NH Foods Group has established a unique vertically integrated system, which involves every process from raising animals to handling and processing meat at its own farms and factories in Japan and abroad. As part of this system, the Group is also engaged in the handling, distribution, and sale of meat entirely in-house. Within this system, JAPAN FOOD is responsible for contracts, procurement, and procedures related to imports and exports.

Import And Export Operation Flow

IMPORT DIVISION.

The Import Division conducts the core business of JAPAN FOOD.
Characterized by its increasingly specialized nature, the division handles processed foods and other products with a focus on meat.
The division contributes to the NH Foods Group's import business by ensuring stable procurement through negotiations with suppliers and on-site inspections in response to customer requests.

Meat Division

The Meat Division mainly imports beef, pork, and poultry from all over the world, thereby contributing to the stable supply of protein for the NH Foods Group.
The division also handles a wide range of livestock species, including lamb, mutton, sheep intestines, and horse meat, and imports processed chicken, duck, and other products in addition to fresh meat.
The division makes the most of the NH Foods Group's global network, with production and processing operations centered in Australia, in order to deliver safe, high-quality imported meat to the kitchen table.

Processed Meat
Products Division

The Processed Meat Products Division imports fried chicken, grilled chicken skewers, and other processed poultry products, as well as sausages and other processed pork products, from around the world, but mainly from Southeast Asia. The division thereby delivers safe, high-quality products that track the trends of the times to major supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants.

CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
DIVISION.

In order to ensure timely delivery of products imported from abroad to customers in Japan, the three drayage, other laws and regulations, and customs clearance teams work closely together with a commitment to accurate, prompt customs clearance. The Customs Clearance Division makes every effort to regularly obtain related information in order to properly respond to revisions in import-export laws and regulations, and to changes in Japan’s quarantine system. Moreover, the division contributes to customs clearance and quarantine administration in Japan by completing procedures with government agencies. On occasion, the division also leaves the office to visit related sites, where it directly observes the inspection of products and provides explanations on the warehouse situation.
